Context
The client had become used to handling as many daily operations as possible directly inside the e-shop back office and no longer wanted to switch between multiple external service environments. Available SPS WebShip modules only supported CSV export, which still required manual imports into the SPS WebShip web interface and additional steps there before shipment labels could be generated and printed.
My role
Workflow redesign, custom module development, API integration, and streamlining of shipment preparation directly inside the store environment.
Solution
I developed a custom module that moved much of the SPS WebShip workflow directly into the e-shop. Instead of exporting CSV files and completing the process manually in the external service interface, the client could now confirm selected options inside the store, send the shipment data to the SPS WebShip API with a few clicks, and receive the generated PDF labels back into the e-shop for printing.
Result
The shipping process became faster, more convenient, and much less dependent on repeated manual handling between separate systems. The client gained a smoother order-dispatch workflow directly in the e-shop environment, with fewer steps and better day-to-day operating comfort.
